Your focus will be on supporting the Environmental Health team across the breadth of its regulatory work.
This will include being the main point of contact for the public, managing incoming correspondence, some finance work, database maintenance and development and supporting the team in some of its technical functions. You will also have responsibility for your own specific areas of work.

The work of an Environmental Health team is as interesting and as varied as they come. You don’t need any prior experience of Environmental Health or local government work although it would be advantageous. You will need a strong appetite to learn, you will thrive on variety in your work and must pride yourself on your customer care skills.

A must for this role is experience in an administration position and excellent communication skills. You will need to be able to prioritise work and be flexible in your approach to work to suit the demands of the role, and the support needed by the team. You will also have an experience of and an aptitude for using IT and in particular Microsoft Office programmes.
