Secure investment in our future and we’ll invest in yours.
A vibrant and diverse economy, an exciting cultural offer and an excellent quality of life make Basingstoke and Deane a great place to live. That’s what 94% of our residents tell us. And with our ambitious plans for growth, Basingstoke is set to attract new businesses, residents and visitors. So, ensuring that everyone, locally and throughout the UK, knows that we are open for business and ready to welcome investors and visitors is an exciting and dynamic opportunity to build on your own professional experience in a place that’s investing in the future.

Working closely with the Economy and Culture Manager and the Business Growth Manager, you’ll oversee the Economy and Culture team’s marketing activities and budget. That includes working with key stakeholders to maximize inward investment and raise the profile of key cultural and economic development events. You’ll also ensure all our communications, online and offline, from our websites through to social media and into print, meet corporate objectives and communications guidelines.

Of degree calibre in a relevant marketing or PR discipline, you’ll also have excellent experience gained at senior level that gives you in-depth knowledge of marketing principles and tools, managing budgets and stakeholders. You’ll also be able to demonstrate how you’ve developed and managed marketing campaigns that have delivered results. You’ll already be imagining the scope and opportunities this role offers to inspire and develop your team, build strong working relationships and really make your mark. If you’re also a confident leader who can consistently get the most out of your team, while developing and growing their potential along the way, you’ll enjoy all the autonomy you need to succeed.
