We are looking for a Policy, Performance and Grants Support Officer to provide up to six months temporary support. You’ll play a supporting role for a team that supports the council's work and services so that they are well informed and better designed for its residents, businesses and visitors.
The Policy, Performance and Grants team applies analytical techniques, insights and tools so that work and programmes are data driven and evidence based; testing and iteratively improving policy to meet user needs. We also implement the Local Infrastructure Fund (LIF) and Community and Voluntary Sector grant schemes ensuring administration of quality processes that support improved community outcomes. In addition, we lead on cross cutting corporate policy development and ensure compliance with legislation and guidance on equalities, safeguarding and consultation; embedding best practice in all areas of the council's work.

The council signs up to the Disability Confident scheme (formerly known as the ‘Two Ticks’ scheme). If you have declared a disability on the application form we can guarantee you an interview if you meet the essential criteria for the job.
