Our dynamic team encourages the development of effective support for children, young people and families within the borough. We aim to build capacity within the community to develop sustainable, effective and efficient provision across Basingstoke and Deane. The team provide information, advice and guidance to support local groups as well as offer opportunities for learning through training or networking.

You will have a proven youth and families development experience and be able to confidently advise on developing and supporting individuals and groups, helping build their capacity to maximize services relating to children, young people and families, and make a significant long term impact. You will help develop and support the delivery of youth provision and family/community support activities working with providers and partners in delivery of council priorities.

You will demonstrate appropriate and effective communication skills and show a flexible approach to facilitating communities and working collaboratively with other departments and partner organisations. This requires problem-solving, planning and developing lasting initiatives that meet local needs, and advising others, such as for attracting volunteers and funding applications.
