  • Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm and Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm
We are looking for a Workshop Operative to lead on all service and repair requirements within the Operations Team consisting of Grounds Maintenance, Street Cleansing, Sports and Cemetery services.
You will be a highly skilled and qualified mechanical technician with appropriate practical experience. Leadership will be required in terms of training and supervision of a single apprentice on a rota basis. The apprentice will provide basic assistance whilst observing mechanical practices performed in the workshop.

Good attention to detail as is a good level of self-organising along with a practical and flexible approach will be required.

You will be required to work on a wide range of tractors, mowers, strimmer’s, and other 2- stroke machinery on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of rebuilding to manufacturer’s specification 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines including carburettor refurbishments.

Advanced diagnostic equipment has recently been added to the workshop and experience or a willingness to train in the use of this would be required.

A good attention to detail as is a good level of self-organising along with a practical and flexible approach will be required. Full UK clean driving licence required.
