  • 37 hours per week
  • Regular unsocial hours including up to midnight, some bank holidays, shift pattern Monday to Sunday.

The council Community Safety Patrol Officers (CSPO) play a vital role in tackling issues such as antisocial behaviour and environmental crime in local communities. They provide high visibility patrols to reassure communities and take a robust approach in dealing with offenders. They run campaigns throughout the year to tackle the issues most affecting communities and find innovative solutions to address issues of antisocial behaviour.

We are seeking individuals with excellent people skills and a strong customer focus. You will be able to interact with members of the public, community groups, councillors and partner agencies. You will also be able to use your initiative to respond to a wide range of situations and be confident to challenge antisocial behaviour. You will be proud to act as an ambassador for the council.

Please note this post requires shift work, including regular unsocial hours and the ability to conduct patrols on foot and by bicycle in all weathers. You must be capable of achieving the requirements of the Hampshire Constabulary Community Safety Accreditation Scheme, for which training will be provided.
